One Life Counselling & Psychotherapy

Evidence-Based, Accessible Therapy: Tailored to Your Needs & Requirements

Let's find a way forward together.

Starting therapy is a big step—but you don’t have to take it alone.

I offer a warm, calm and confidential space where you can talk openly, without judgement. If you’re unsure where to begin, we can start with a free, no-pressure 15-minute consultation to see if we’re the right fit.

At One Life Counselling, I support individuals and couples experiencing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low motivation, and a general sense of feeling stuck or overwhelmed. You may be feeling lonely, disconnected, or as though no one truly understands you.

I believe that meaningful change begins with self-awareness. Often, past experiences can influence how we think, feel, and behave in the present—without us fully realising it. Together, we can gently explore these patterns and help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

I have particular experience working with relationship difficulties, both in individual therapy and with couples. I also support clients with a range of emotional and psychological challenges, including ADHD, ASD, BPD, and PTSD.

At times, you may have felt misunderstood, different, or unsure why certain situations—especially in relationships, work, or social settings—feel more challenging than they seem for others. For some people, there may be underlying patterns or traits that haven’t always been fully recognised or understood.

You may find yourself feeling frustrated, isolated, or noticing the same patterns repeating in your life. It’s important to know this is not your fault. Through counselling, we can explore these experiences together in a supportive, non-judgemental way—helping you to develop greater self-awareness, improve communication, and find new ways forward so you can feel more confident and connected in your life and relationships.

Who I work with:

  • Young Adults (18–24)

  • Adults (25–64)

  • Older Adults (65+)

  • Couples

Through our work together, you can begin to reduce stress, build resilience, and develop the tools to manage life’s challenges both during and beyond therapy.

I am based in Biggin Hill, Kent, and welcome clients from the surrounding areas. I also offer online sessions via Zoom, FaceTime, and other platforms, so you can access support wherever you are.

How can therapy help you?

Get to Know Me Better

At One Life Counselling & Psychotherapy, I understand that looking after your mental health can often be pushed aside or seen as something to come back to later. Yet making the decision to prioritise your wellbeing can have a powerful and positive impact on every area of your life.

A helpful way to think about this is that when you’re running on empty, it becomes much harder to support others or manage the demands around you. Taking time to look after yourself isn’t a luxury—it’s an important foundation for living well.

I also recognise that taking the first step into therapy isn’t always easy, and finding the right therapist can feel challenging. To make this easier, I offer a free 15-minute consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and see if I’m the right fit for you.

Booking your consultation is simple—just click on the links on the website, which will take you directly to my booking system where you can choose a time that works for you.

If, after the consultation, you feel I’m not the right therapist for your needs, I will happily support you in finding someone who is, drawing on my network of trusted and experienced counsellors.

Tackling it together

Counselling is a type of talking therapy that allows a person to talk about their problems and feelings in a confidential and dependable environment.

Who is Phil Jackson?

I'm a qualified person-centred counsellor, who embarked on a career in counselling during a later stage of my life after working in the corporate sector as a Service Manager for a Large world-wide IT company.

From the very start of counselling training I soon realised becoming a counsellor was my life’s purpose where I gradually gained a fresh awareness that enabled me to grow and improve for the better.

I firmly believe counselling can also help you and I have a passion and focus towards helping you to be the best you can possibly be!

Throughout my studies and personal experience seeing my own counsellor, I learnt receiving counselling can be extremely hard work and emotionally challenging, but also rewarding and for me it was often enjoyable.

“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, "Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner." I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”
